As a member of the club, you can request access to 4 research platforms.
These are essential for speeding up your research process and enhancing the quality of your stock pitches. If you’d like to have access to Tegus, BamSEC, Canalyst, Stream, Macabacus and/or Third Bridge, be on the lookout for an email from our resource team.
Tegus, Third Bridge: database for past expert interview transcripts
Canalyst: provides access to ready-made financial models of public companies
BamSEC: a user-friendly alternative to Edgar; able to browse all SEC filings in one place and download financial statements in 10-Ks / 10-Qs directly into excel
Stream: similar to Tegus, but with live interview function
Macabacus: tool for financial modeling and presentations (check your inbox for an email from the resources team for access code)
Please note that these resources are for CSIMA members only.
Aside from CSIMA, Columbia offers significant resources to support your research:
Bloomberg terminals (only on campus)
Capital IQ: provides financial, industry and market data on companies, allowing to quickly screen, export data to excel and build models using the excel plug-in
CLIO: explore databases for business, investments and securities
Refinitiv Workspace: Bloomberg like application and source of company research
Pitch book: comprehensive data, research and insights spanning the global capital markets. Good for searching deals. (log in with SSO)
FactSet: Like Bloomberg, provides access to financial data and analytics that investors use to make decisions. Use it for creating watchlists, monitoring portfolio and macro news, setting trading alerts, downloading transcripts, first-look valuation, holder base, etc. with the added convenience of having it on your desktop.
