The Value Investing Program is offered by The Heilbrunn Center at Columbia Business School, and CSIMA is not involved in the application process or program development. We have created this page to help our members and prospective students understand the difference and access information.
The Value Investing Program is a separate program with its own admissions process within the MBA and has the following requirements:
You must be a current first-year Columbia Business School MBA student to apply in spring.
Attend a mandatory information session during spring semester (next one in Feb 2024)
Complete the Program's interview and application process.
Decisions are notified in June.
If you are selected, you will need to take Corporate Finance and Capital Markets before starting. The Program consists of a set of 7 courses:
Modern Value (Fall Semester)
Applied Value Investing (Fall Semester)
The Credit Superhighway (Fall Semester)
Economics of Strategic Behavior (Anytime)
Value Investing with Legends (Spring Semester)
and two elective courses from a prescribed menu of Heilbrunn Center courses (Anytime)
You can review the curriculum and accepted electives here and visit the Heilbrunn Center for additional information here.
Besides access to world-class practitioners who teach the Value Investing Program courses, students in the Program also receive access to special programming, including recruiting and career workshops, mentors, and networking events. The Heilbrunn Center maintains a resume book for students in the Program that is sent to employers upon request.
